The Old Capitol Museum is partnering with John’s Grocery to present a screening of the trailer for Death of a Brewer, a new historical film partially shot on the Northside and other Iowa City locations last summer. Set in 1880s Iowa City, the film explores the clash between the brewing industry and the temperance movement, drawing on real local events and locations. The screening will be followed by a brief discussion and audience Q&A with members of the film’s creative team. This free event is open to all.
